Adult DJ Class for beginners - Tues/Thur ($350)

This 4 week course is tailored for adults and covers the following topics through classroom lectures and hands-on labs facilitated by WeJam Certified Coaches:

  • DJ Software Overview & Lab w/ Serato DJ

  • 4/8 Count & Cue Points

  • Equipment Setup, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Beat Matching/Blending, BPM, Scratching, Looping & EFX

  • Controller Mastery

  • Building and organizing your musical library

  • Streaming w/ Tidal & Soundcloud

  • Using Serato Stems

  • The Business of DJing

  • Live Streaming Basics

  • DJ Recital

Classes meet in person on Tuesdays from 6:30PM - 9PM starting and virtual on Thursdays from 7pm-8:30pm. The cost of this course is $350; w/ $100 due upon registering (non-refundable) w/ the remaining balance due prior to the end of the 2nd week of class. The west loop location address will be emailed w/ the registration confirmation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • No prior DJ experience is required

  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own DJ controller and/or laptop; if you were taking golf lessons you would need your own clubs!

At WeJam DJ Academy, we are excited to announce our DJ classes specially designed for kids between the ages of 8 to 12. These classes are scheduled every Saturday and are tailored for young beginners looking to dive into the world of DJing.

The course curriculum covers essential topics such as:

  • Music controllers

  • Playlist organization

  • DJ software like Serato DJ Lite

  • Counting beats

  • Matching tempo

  • Scratching techniques

Our aim is to provide a comprehensive learning experience that equips young learners with fundamental DJ skills in a fun and engaging environment.
